Day 1: Travel to Puerto López along the coast.

Day 2: Isla de La Plata
Tour to the Island which is home to hundreds of Blue-footed Boobies as well as Frigatebirds and Albatross. From June-September Humpback Whales may be observed from the boat, and dolphins inhabit these waters year-round. After a hike across the island, visitors can snorkel in the clear waters of the coral reefs, home to vivid fish, urchins and sea stars.

Day 3: Bola de Oro rainforest trek
In the morning, we will travel to the community of Río Blanco to begin our route along the Bola de Oro trail. Here we will see black howler monkeys and capuchin monkeys in the virgin coastal rainforest, as well as many native species of orchid. After linch in the community, we will return to Puerto López.

Day 4: Machalilla National Park - Los Frailes Beach and Agua Blanca
Today we will visit the stunning white sand beach of Los Frailes, located withing Machalilla National Park. We will walk to the "Mirador" with extraordinary views of the coast and surrounding forests, and relax on the nearby beach of La Tortuguita.

We also have the option of visiting the community of Agua Blanca, with a rich cultural history and archaeological remains of some of South America´s most ancient civilizations. We will take a guided tour around the village and archaeological museum, followed by a dip in the natural volcanic srpings, rich in sulphur which leaves you with smooth skin.
