Cotopaxi Ascent - Southern RouteDay 1: From Latacunga we go to Cotopaxi National Park, and travel in 4x4 vehicles 4,000m up the south face of the volcano. From here we will trek 4 hours to the base camp Morurco at 4,700m, where we will have dinner and rest in preparation for the overnight climb.
Day 2: At midnight we will begin our ascent of approximately 7 hours to the summit, followed by a 3 hour descent back to the base camp, from where we return to Latacunga.
