Farming and Rafting Tour

Day 1: Our tour begins with a hike through the rainforest of the High Amazon. We will then watch a local community panning for gold using traditional methods, still an important source of income for some communities in Ecuador. We will also visit an organic farm with crops and animals, before walking along a route past many species of native orchids.
After lunch, we will visit an organic Oyster mushroom farm, a typical of the region, followed by a dairy product processing plant. There will be an artistic presentation by the community to welcome us to their land, before we return to our hostel for the night.

Day 2: Following breakfast, we will go rafting on the Alto Coca River, an ideal activity for both adults and children due to its calm waters (class II). We will have lunch on the beach by the river, before ending our tour with a trip to the base of the 40-meter high “Cascada Mágica” – the Magic Waterfall.
